Dangote Foundation Offer N20m Scholarship Fund - Report


The Dangote Foundation offer N20m
Scholarship fund to James Hope College
Agbor on 4th March 2015.
The Scholarship is mainly for indigenous
college students in Agbor which are
expected to finish their educational study
through the fund.
in respect in handing over the donated
funds to James Hope College Agbor, the
Cheif Executive Officer of the
multimillionaire foundation Zouera
Youssoufou said education is an area the
Foundation was interested in because it is
central to the development of the society.
Mrs Youssoufou explained that the
Dangote Foundation would continue to do
all within its resources to help in the
uplifting of the education and health care
standards, both of which, she disclosed,
that the Foundation had invested heavily.


In her speech, “Education is key to future
development of our youths and the
society. Most countries of the world
referred to as developed achieved the
height because they placed premium on
education,”.
She further promised that the Dangote
Foundation would continue to partner
with groups and appropriate institutions
to identify potential among the
disadvantaged students in secondary
schools and help them develop their
potentials through scholarships.
Mrs Youssoufou said education and
knowledge acquisition remain a core
responsibility in the discharge of the
corporate social responsibility of the
Foundation, pointing out that “we have a
common synergy with James Hope College
in the area of education development of
our youths and we hope that our efforts
will encourage others to contribute their
own quota to educational advancement of
Nigerians and Nigeria.”
